Limited Submissions

Programs with limited nominations or proposal submissions must be coordinated through the Office of Research and Grant Development.

In cases of limited submission solicitations, USC will have an internal competition to select the most competitive candidate(s) to submit a proposal. If you plan to submit a proposal for consideration, your proposal submission MUST be coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research through the Office of Research and Grant Development. This process is critical as extra submissions can result in all submissions being denied.

Please click on the program name below to find the submission instructions specific to the internal competition that you are interested in. The Submission Process is listed at the bottom of the "program details" page.

If you have questions, please email jmorris@sc.edu.

In preparing your submission, please use the font type and size required or suggested by the funding agency for the associated internal competition. If none listed, font type should be standard/easy to read such as Calibri, Times New Roman, Arial, etc. and font size of no smaller than 11pt.

Applicants will be notified of the results of the internal review as soon as the process is completed.

If you find a funding opportunity of interest and believe it is limited, but do not see it here, please contact jmorris@sc.edu. We still must follow the limited submission process as extra submissions can result in the sponsor's rejection of all submissions from USC.

You may still be able to apply! Selection generally defers to a first-come, first-served basis depending on the program, timing, and special circumstances. Please contact  jmorris@sc.edu.

For questions about limited submissions, contact Julie Morris (jmorris@sc.edu).
