Funding opportunities are easier to locate with our one-stop approach to browsing databases for funding, limited submissions and collaborative partners at UofSC and other universities. As a university-wide Pivot subscriber, we educate faculty on how to search for funding opportunities and research collaborators campus wide as well as globally.
Internal Funding Opportunities
Through the ASPIRE Program, UofSC faculty have the opportunity to compete for funding to begin a promising new research endeavor for later external funding, build up a collaborative, interdisciplinary research project and/or invest in the university's research infrastructure. The goal of these investments is to enhance the University of South Carolina's research capabilities.
The Research Initiative for Summer Engagement, or RISE Program, was initiated in 2012 to support summer research for faculty members at UofSC’s system campuses. Since its inception, RISE has provided support for faculty to complete book manuscripts, write articles and prepare external grant applications.
