SAGE

Students Advocating for a Greener Environment (SAGE) is a group of undergraduates focused on promoting environmental education, awareness and activism on USC’s campus and in the greater Columbia community. By attending conferences and honing in on major issues, SAGE fosters the implementation of locally relevant changes.

SSC

The Student Sustainability Coalition (SSC) is a collaboration of representatives from every sustainability-focused organization on campus. They meet periodically to exchange ideas in order to align their efforts and move our university forward. Visit their Facebook page for more information.

RHA

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) seeks to improve the on-campus living experience by providing opportunities to meet residents’ needs.  Additionally, the Hall Government plans programming on diversity, sustainability and wellness.

Student Government

The University of South Carolina Student Government is an organization that represents and advocates the opinion of all students on campus. This group offers positions within environmental awareness and education.

SEAS

Students Engaged in Aquatic Science (SEAS) is a group of undergraduates interested in helping to conserve the world’s oceans. By hosting guest speakers, beach sweeps and even social events (such as aquarium and zoo trips!), SEAS works to promote positive action within water conservation. Visit their Facebook page to learn more.   SEAS gets involved with many diverse research projects, beach and river sweeps, and teaches elementary kids about marine animals. Along with the science, SEAS also has lots of socials such as trips to aquariums and zoos, canoeing/kayaking, trips to the beach, and holiday parties! We also have guest speakers who talk to members about Graduate School, underwater photography, and study abroad options.

USC’s chapter of Habitat for Humanity is committed to informing students about the issues created by a lack of affordable housing.
