The University of South Carolina adopted an official environmental policy in 2000.  This policy illustrates our University-wide commitment to improving environmental education, research and operational performance. Environmental stewardship requires the cooperation of all University members.  In 1999, President Palms appointed an Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) comprised of faculty, operations staff and students to oversee these programs and policies on campus.  The EAC developed the Policy Statement.  For more information on our environmental initiatives, please visit the links from this page.
