The automated fiber placement machine is capable of manufacturing complex composite specimen at industry standard rates. With this machine we can produce parts on custom tooling in a 5' x 8' x 4' in working volume or up to 5' diameter cylindrical shapes. Our AFP system utilizes a state-of-the-art Humm3 heating system from Heraeus Noble Light that allows us to work with all thermoset, thermoplastic, and dry fiber composite systems.
The Gerber CNC table is used to quickly and accurately cut both composite preform material and vacuum bagging materials. Our table boasts a 5' x 5' cutting surface and the ability to cut both thermoset and thermoplastic materials making hand layups and bagging tasks quick and easy.
Our Composite Curing equipment reaches 800°F allowing the consolidation of thermoplastic materials as well as the curing of thermoset material systems. Our Wisconsin oven has a 6'x6'x10' heating volume and our Bondtech autoclave has a 6' x 10 volume to accommodate large scale parts. Our Wabash Hotpress has 24" platens and can press up to 50 tons.
The Haas VF5 Milling Machine has a 30 HP 10,00 RPM CAT50 spindle allowing for heavy cuts and high material removal rates. A 25.0" in X, 50" in Y, and 24" in Z allows large work pieces to machined. Our wide variety of tooling and fixturing options allows us to machine many different materials, part sizes and shapes.
