Application Deadlines for Fall 2008 Freshmen
October 1, 2007: Early Answer Deadline
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions must have received all supplemental materials (application, application fee or official fee waiver, official transcripts from all high schools attended, test scores, optional personal statement) by this date to issue an admissions decision by December 20th (Decisions may be acceptance, denial, or delayed until Mid-March.). Students may complete their application and pay the application fee online at www.sc.edu/admissions/appfreshman.php. Students may be admitted, denied, or delayed.
November 15, 2007: South Carolina Honors College/Top Scholarship Application
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions must have received all application materials (application, application fee application fee or official fee waiver, official transcripts from all high schools attended, test scores, optional personal statement) by November 15. The honors/top scholars application must also be completed by November 15th. Students must send two honors/top scholars recommendation forms by this deadline as well. Students may complete the honors/top scholars application online. Honors College applications received after this deadline will be considered on a space available basis.
December 1, 2007: Priority Application Deadline
To ensure consideration for the summer or fall semester, students need to submit or postmark applications to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by December 1. Students submitting their applications by this date will receive a decision by mid-March 2008. Applications received after this date will be considered on a space-available basis only, but based upon recent record-breaking application volumes, it is strongly advisable to meet the priority application deadline.
February 1, 2008: Credentials Deadline
Application credentials (official transcript, test scores, optional personal statement) must be postmarked by February 1. Applications for which credentials are received after February 1st will be considered on a space-available basis.
