Application Deadlines for Fall 2008 Freshmen

October 1, 2007: Early Answer Application Deadline

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions must have received all supplemental materials (application, application fee or official fee waiver, official transcripts from all high schools attended, test scores, optional personal statement) by this date to issue an admissions decision by December 20th. Students may complete their application and pay the application fee online at www.sc.edu/admissions/appfreshman.php. Students may be admitted, denied, or delayed.

November 15, 2007: South Carolina Honors College/Top Scholarship Application
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions must have received all supplemental materials (application, application fee application fee or official fee waiver, official transcripts from all high schools attended, test scores, optional personal statement) by November 15th. The honors/top scholars application must also be completed by November 15th. Qualified students may complete the honors/top scholars application online. Honors College applications received after the deadline will be considered on a space available basis.

December 1, 2007: Regular Decision Application Deadline
To ensure consideration for the summer or fall semester, students need to submit applications to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by December 1st. Students submitting their applications by this date will receive a decision by mid-March 2008. Applications postmarked or submitted online after this date will be considered on a space-available basis only. It takes six to eight weeks on average for the admissions office to process applications.

February 1, 2008: Credentials Deadline
Application credentials (official transcript, test scores, optional personal statement) must be postmarked by February 1st. Applications for which credentials are received after February 1st will be considered on a space available basis.
