Courtney is a member of both the All-State Band and the All-State Orchestra. She has also won the S.C. Governor's Citizenship Award. She is vice-president of the Tri-M Music Society and a member of the National Honor Society. She is also oa member of the Mt. Pleasant Youth Court. Courtney competes on the Wild Dunes Summer Swim Team.
