There are nearly 300 student organizations at the University of South Carolina. Getting involved on campus is an easy way to make new friends, discover more about yourself, and enhance your overall college experience. Numerous studies have shown that the most successful college students are those who participate in activities outside of the classroom, and a major benefit of attending a larger university is all of the involvement opportunities available to students. You will never be bored at Carolina.
Whether you're wanting to participate in community service, join a Greek organization, play on a club sports team, or become a leader in Student Government, there is certainly something for you at USC. You can even start your own organization!
One of the most unique organizations at Carolina is Dance Marathon. Students participate in an all-night fundraiser to raise money for the Palmetto Richland Children's Hospital. Hundreds of students dance throughout the night in February, and each year it contributes thousands of dollars to the hospital.
A student organization fair is held early in the fall and spring semesters to help students learn more about all of the many organizations at Carolina. All new students are encouraged to attend this event and become involved on campus.
