Office Mission

As part of the University of South Carolina's overall external outreach efforts, the Special Events Office is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of events sponsored by the Office of the President or designated by the Advancement Division.

 

In addition, the Office serves as a resource to the entire University of South Carolina system, providing expertise and guidance in the planning and implementation of events hosted by individual colleges, departments and other campuses.

  This helpful checklist will make sure you have all your bases covered when planning your event, from beginning to end. It covers all stages of planning an event, from creating the budget, to guest lists and invitations, all the way to thank you letters.
