Emergency Call Boxes

....can be easily identified on campus by their bright yellow color and by the red and blue lights that hang near them.

To operate, simply push the red button in the upper right hand corner of the box. You will immediately be connected with the USC-PD dispatcher. Even if you are unable to communicate, the dispatcher will know your exact location.

The call boxes are for EMERGENCY USE ONLY! The following are examples of when the call boxes should be used: crimes in progress, fires, medical emergencies, or threats to personal safety.

The Office of Crime Awareness offers various programs which help educate members of the Carolina Community about the importance of crime prevention. If you or your organization has a particular interest, contact the Division of Law Enforcement and Safety, Office of Crime Awareness at 777-8400.
