Requirements and Procedures:

  • No formal program; done through independent study

French & Classics Students:

  • Must be done in a French-speaking country or environment
  • Must get internship approved by faculty
  • Must register for French 399 course

German, Slavic & East Asian Students:

  • Students are strongly encouraged to have a study abroad experience in a German-speaking country

Spanish, Italian & Portuguese Students:
  • Students must work with Hispanic clients during the internship experience, using the Spanish language
  • Independent study credit may be awarded for other service projects working with the Hispanic community
