Directions to the Engineering & Computing
Career Center From Columbia Airport

  • Follow John Hardee Expressway to SC 302 (Airport Blvd).
  • Turn left onto SC 302 and proceed to Interstate 26.
  • Take I-26 West toward Columbia.
  • Travel approximately 5 miles and exit right onto I-126 toward Downtown Columbia.
  • Exit to Elmwood Avenue (straight).
  • Turn right on Assembly Street and continue 8 blocks to Pendleton Street.
  • Turn left on Pendleton and proceed to Main Street.
  • Turn right on Main Street and proceed to Catawba Street (you will pass Swearingen Engineering Center on your right.)
  • Turn right on Catawba Street and park in the metered spaces on Catawba Street.
  • Follow the sidewalk to the Swearingen entrance closest to Catawba.
  • Go through two sets of double doors and the Career Center will be on your right.
