The Career Center offers tools you can use to discover or clarify your career interests: the Strong Interest Inventory (SII), the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and FOCUS. Some Discovery Tools are free. Others can be purchased using check, credit card, money order, or Carolina Card.

FOCUS—This tool is an interactive system of career guidance and career decision-making. You create your own account, work through the questions, and print your profile. Strong Interest Inventory (SII)—This tool identifies your interests and provides possible career options you can investigate. Students, if you are interested in completing the SII, you should visit the Career Center and meet with a staff member during on call hours. After your completed inventory has been scored, a staff member will interpret your profile and give you a personalized 9-page report. Alumni need to schedule appointments with the alumni counselor to complete the assessment and for a follow-up interpretation.
