Mock interviews allow you to polish your skills before interviewing with potential employers. The service is free for students of all majors. Alumni may also participate in mock interviews for $40 an hour.

Prior to completing a live mock interview, you are encouraged to practice your interviewing skills using Perfect Interview.

To complete a live face-to-face mock interview:

Students

1. Stop by the Career Center and pick up a mock interview packet. 
2. At least 48 hours before you would like to interview, submit your completed mock interview form, a copy of your resume, and information on your potential employer.  (We will tailor questions based on your job interests.) 
3. Sign up for an interview time when you turn in your information.
4. Allow at least 1 hour for the interview and feedback session.
5. On the day of your mock interview, be punctual and arrive dressed in professional attire.
6. Your interview will be recorded and you will receive a DVD that contains the recording.

Alumni

1. Schedule your appointment with the alumni counselor. 
2. At least 48 hours before your appointment, email your resume, position description, and employer information to the counselor.  (She will tailor questions based on your job interests.) 
3. Allow at least 1 hour for the interview and feedback session.
4. On the day of your mock interview, be punctual and arrive dressed in professional attire.
5. Your interview will be recorded and you will receive a DVD that contains the recording.
