Parents play an active role at the center
providing classroom and enrichment.
MISSION
The purpose of the PTO is to promote the welfare of the children
attending the Center and their families; to bring into closer
relation the home and the Center; and to support the activities of
the Center and its programs. Please talk with the Program Director
or the PTO President for more information.
OFFICERS
Elections for PTO Officers are typically held in the Fall of each
year. Terms of office are for 1 year unless re-elected

CLASSROOM COORDINATOR
The purpose of the Classroom coordinator is to assist the class
teachers and parents and enhance communication amongst all parties
while keeping in mind the best interest of all children in the
classroom. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintain
regular contact with classroom teachers maintain regular contact
with parents of the other students in the classroom assist with
welcoming new parents and their child(ren) to the classroom assist
with coordinating classroom phone tree assist teachers with wish
lists and special events in the classroom share position vacancy and
help recruit new coordinator when your child transitions to another
class. offer suggestions and make recommendations to teachers and or
staff as concerns or ideas arise. attend PTO meetings as schedule
permits.
NEWSLETTER
The PTO publishes a newsletter every other month; typically
during the months when there is no PTO meeting. PTO meetings will be
announced in the minutes and reminder signs will be posted the week
before the meeting. PTO information and minutes are available on the
bulletin board outside the Director’s office. update every other
month will be e-mailed later
EVENTS
Parent involvement is welcome and we recognize that PTO may not
be for everyone. Other parent involvement opportunities include
serving as a Classroom Coordinator and Volunteering for special
events or projects.
