REGISTRATION INFORMATION

To register for the Carolina Journalism Institute, complete the online registration or fill out the form in a CJI brochure mailed to SIPA member schools. However, please note that your registration is not secured until we receive a check for the nonrefundable deposit of $100 for commuting students or $150 for participants staying on campus by April 25, release form with parent signature (students only) and necessary information. When we receive all information, your registration will be complete and a confirmation notice will be mailed to you.

2008 Registration Costs:

• $220 – Early bird registration (does not include room and must register by April 25)
• $250 – registration April 26 or later (does not include room)
• $25 – Lab fee for Advertising/Business, Broadcast Traditional, Broadcast Media Fusion, CJI Convergence Team, Desktop Publishing and Photojournalism.

2008 Housing Costs:

• $220 – Adviser Private room
• $160 – Adviser Double room
• $120 – Adviser Quad room
  
• $90 – Student Quad room
• $0 – Commuter

Participants are responsible for their individual meals. There are several locations around the hotel where participants can dine together.

2008 Registration Deadlines:
The early bird registration deadline for CJI 2008 is Friday, April 25. A nonrefundable deposit of $100 for commuting participants and $150 for participants staying on campus is required by April 25. All registrations after April 25 must be accompanied by the appropriate deposit to be secured. A valid school purchase order may be substituted for this deposit. The balance must be paid by the beginning of the workshop. Registrations that have not been secured by an appropriate deposit will be cancelled. If a participant cancels a fully-paid registration prior to June 1, he or she will be entitled to a 50 percent refund of the total workshop reigistration. No refunds will be made after May 31. If unusual circumstances occur that force you to cancel, contact the institute director immediately.
