Introduction to Biostatistics
CLASS SESSION BEGINS: Monday, May 13, 2013
General Information: This is a videostreaming course utilizing Adobe Connect. Students may connect to the Webcast at http://video.sc.edu. Scroll down to Arnold School of Public Health, click on Summer and BIOS J700 class link.
NOTE:
Students may participate in seven optional Q&A sessions using Adobe Connect on May 20, 27, and 29; and June 3, 10, 17, and 19; 4 - 5 p.m. USC Columbia students may attend Q&A sessions in Wardlaw College, Room 116; all other students will view Q&A sessions via the Internet and may call in with questions. Adobe Connect URL will be posted in Blackboard by the instructor prior to the first Q&A session. High-speed Internet access is required for Adobe Connect.
On-Campus Sessions/Orientation Information:
Students will be required to attend two live sessions for examinations. The midterm exam is Friday, May 31, at approved test sites or at USC Columbia. Students taking the exam at USC Columbia will meet 2 - 5 p.m., in the Health Sciences Building, Room TBA. For the final exam, all students will be required to attend a session at USC Columbia on Thursday, June 20, 2 - 5 p.m., in the Health Sciences Building, Room TBA.
Online Session Information:
Students will be required to participate in a live chat for an orientation session using Adobe Connect on Monday, May 13, 4 - 5 p.m. USC Columbia students may attend orientation in Wardlaw College, Room 116; all other students will view orientation via the Internet and may call in with questions during the orientation. Adobe Connect URL will be posted in Blackboard by the instructor prior to the first Q&A session. High-speed Internet access is required for Adobe Connect.
