Topics in Mass Communications: The Management Function for Engineering Communicators

Online Session Information:
Students will be required to meet with the instructor one time each week for a live, one-on-one online meeting. The instructor will arrange the times for these meetings with each student individually.
Course Delivery Type: Over 50% Web Delivery: A Web course is taught using one or more web delivery platforms such as Blackboard, Streaming Video, Adobe Connect etc.
Students must have access to a high-speed Internet connection. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.

Graduate Bulletin Course Description: Engineering managers will explore communication theories and practices that will help them better understand how to communicate through media to specific external constituencies, including clients, vendors, regulators, and the general public as well as internally within the organization. Special emphasis on communications strategies will allow managers to understand which communication tools will allow them to best communicate with all stakeholders.
Prerequisites: Graduate standing and admission to Engineering Management Program
