Cassidy Fae Pendley

Friends from the University of South Carolina remember the victims of the fire.

She loved her family and friends, Carolina football, Tri-Delta, soccer and cheerleading, working out and going downtown. She always offered everyone rides anywhere they needed to go.

When I first met Cassidy and found out she was my sorority twin I just remember thinking how beautiful she was and how generously sweet she was. She was so easy to get to know. After just an hour with her we were holding hands as we slid down the big slip and slide on bid day.

One night I was so bored and had nothing to do because my roommate had gone home for the weekend. I called Cassidy to hang out, but she already had plans. She immediately invited me to tag along with her and some of her high school friends. She was so reliable with stuff like that.

I didn't have my car at school until just recently. Before any meeting at the sorority house she would call and offer me rides there because she knew I didn't have one. She would even ask other new members that we saw walking to the meeting if they wanted a ride.

Cassidy was also so smart. I can't even count how many times she would choose to stay in to do homework or study for a test when the rest of us would go out. She definitely had her priorities set straight.

She did go out with me, though, when she was able to. And when she did it was so much fun. I had more fun when I was out with her and Tripp then I did with anyone else.

She also always knew the right things to say to me. When I would complain about looking bad or anything like that she would tell me how gorgeous I was.

One time someone upset me and Cassidy tried so hard to cheer me up. This was easy for her to do because she was dressed like Butch Cassidy (for crush party) and it was hilarious. She just knew exactly what to say.

Cassidy was such a good twin, and an ever better friend. I am going to miss her so much. I'm just glad that I was able to get to know her as well as I did; I am sympathetic towards those who weren't able to. I am going to miss her so much.
