Friends from the University of South Carolina remember the victims of the fire.
Justin Michael Anderson was born in Greenville, S.C., on April 22, 1988. He was the son of Dr. Tom and Dawn Anderson and the brother of Stephen, Taylor, and Matthew Anderson.
Justin Anderson was one of a kind. Never uttering one mean word about anything, Justin was one of the nicest people you would ever have the chance to meet.
Known for his great smile and incredible sense of humor, Justin was someone that you wanted to be around 24/7. Justin attended J.L. Mann High School, where he played soccer for the Patriots and was voted most improved player his senior year.
After graduation from J.L. Mann, Justin enrolled at the University of South Carolina, where he also pledged Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Like Travis Cale, it is hard not to think of Justin and not laugh about how funny he was and the funny things he did.
Justin loved professional wrestling and Carolina football. He was known for his throwback Sterling Sharpe jersey, Charlotte Hornets hat and his D Generation X T-shirt. Justin was also known for his incredible skill in Mario Kart racing, and currently holds the Mario Kart racing championship belt.
With all this being said, you can't speak about Justin without talking about Travis. They were closer than most brothers and were inseparable. Together they could brighten anyone's day and make anyone feel accepted.
They didn't know the definition of a stranger; everyone was a friend to these two young men. Everyone joked with them in high school because they knew the name of every lunch lady and janitor. They also hung out with some of the mentally challenged students at J.L. Mann, making them feel normal like everyone else.
They were genuine people with hearts full of love not only for friends but for everyone.
