Charlie Blaich, Director of the Center of Inquiry at Wabash College and Director of the Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium
Charlie Blaich is the director of the Center of Inquiry at Wabash College since 2002. In that role, he worked with researchers at the University of Iowa, University of Michigan, and Miami University. Blaich designed and implemented the Wabash National Study in 2005. In 2011, he became the director of the Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS), which includes 130 private colleges and universities that share survey and institutional data for the purposes of improvement. Blaich's recent publications include From Gathering to Using Assessment Results: Lessons for the Accountability Movement from the Wabash National Study, "Some Complexities in the Effects of Diversity Experiences on Orientation Toward Social/Political Activism and Political Views in the First Year of College, " and "Why is Closing the Loop So Hard?
