Join Sustainable Carolina!
We are looking for undergraduate interns for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Interns are the heart - and the brains - of our organization. They work to galvanize change throughout our university by collaborating within our project teams, attending community programs and conceptualizing and implementing campus-wide events. Prospective interns do not need to have substantial knowledge regarding sustainability as a whole - just the interest and drive to learn and DO more!
How it works: Students may receive academic credit for internships or serve in a volunteer capacity. Internships are one semester in length, although students are welcome to continue working with us beyond this requirement. Interns may elect to participate in our leadership program, which serves as a pathway for Graduation with Leadership Distinction in Professional and Civic Engagement from USC Connect.
GRADUATE WITH LEADERSHIP DISTINCTION
Make yourself stand out! Sustainable Carolina offers students a pathway to Graduate with Leadership Distinction in Professional and Civic Engagement, through USC Connect. Graduating with Leadership Distinction increases employability by giving students practical experience, applied learning, professional development, and mentorship.
To complete the program, students must take two leadership-related courses (the internship course counts as one of them), complete two semesters as a Sustainable Carolina intern, attend monthly professional development workshops, lead a Sustainable Carolina project, present the completed project at a research conference, and complete a Leadership Distinction Portfolio.
