The Biostatistics Collaborative Research Core (BCRC) increases the capacity for health sciences research by providing core facilities and expertise across a broad spectrum of disciplines. The BCRC provides collaboration, consultation, and support on biostatistics methods, data management, and data coordination for health sciences research at the University of South Carolina, partner institutions, and research clients, while fostering original methodological research.

Our services range from brief professional consultations to the development of new statistical methods. We collaborate on the framing of hypotheses, the development of study designs, grant applications, selection of statistical methods, performance of statistical computations, interpretive analyses, research database management consultation and support, journal articles, and presentations. We provide training and development activities for new investigators, develop training opportunities for graduate students and fellows, and advance applied methodological research related to collaborative efforts. Investigators should contact the BCRC in the earliest stage of new research efforts and well in advance of deadlines for grant applications, abstract submissions and protocol development.
