Established in 2011, the University of South Carolina McNAir Center was made possible through a generous donation from USC alumna Darla Moore, '75, Vice President of Rainwater, Inc. The Center focuses on the research and education needs of South Carolina's burgeoning aerospace industries. With a focus on research that supports regional and national companies, USC faculty bring expertise that tie the Center to international initiatives as well and to multinational corporations.
With an emphasis on engineering and business practices, existing and growing USC research comprise the Center's work and provide a natural pipeline of graduates who are ready to work in the various aerospace management and engineering positions. USC emphasizes leadership in its curriculum and the McNAir Center benefits from the foundation provided in innovative approaches to disciplines that help our students enter the workforce as prepared leaders who, through internships, international experiences and community service, bring applied understanding to their work.
