| Want to make a difference at USC?
Then become part of "Carolina Welcome Team 2008" and help with
Move-In Day on Saturday, August 16th where you can assist our
new students move into their new home on campus. It's easy,
if you are a USC faculty or staff member who would like to help.
WHY SHOULD I HELP?
The Volunteer Faculty and Staff Moving Crew began in 1994 and
is still going strong. Each year, more than 125 USC Columbia faculty
and staff members volunteer to help students move into their residence
halls and have lots of fun doing so. Many times, this is the first
glance that parents and students get to see the USC community spirit
in action and are comforted knowing that the USC family is there to
help!
HOW CAN I HELP?
You will be assigned to a residence hall and will assist students
and parents move into their residence halls. You may also be asked to help
out with delivering refreshments. As you know, our freshman class will be
quite large again this fall so we need at least 175-200 volunteers to send this
warm Southern welcome. Come and be a part of the fun!
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
None! You will not need any special training – just come with
a smile on your face and the willingness to help our students and
their family members.
WHEN CAN I HELP?
Move-In 2008 will be held on Saturday, August 16th. The hours are
flexible but plan to spend as long as you can helping out.
Thanks for your interest in the USC Faculty/Staff Move in Crew.
