DISCOVER

Research happens in all disciplines at USC!
While all disciplines have methodologies and techniques unique
to the field, there are basic skills and abilities shared by
many disciplines that will make you a valuable research
assistant, when you are ready to embark on a research project.
The DISCOVER program is a 8-week not-for-credit seminar open to
first-year students in any major. This program will help you
gain some of these basic research skills and techniques
(including helping you find a faculty member to work with) but
you will not conduct a research project.
DISCOVER meets once per week for one hour. In Fall 2008, two different sections will be offered. One will meet on Tuesdays 4:00-5:00pm beginning September 16th. The second section will meet Wednesdays 4:00-5:00pm beginning September 17th.
