DISCOVERY
DAY
…a forum for student ingenuity
April 26, 2013
Schedule of Events

Join us for a Tour of Discovery!!
NOMINATE a student to participate
Discovery Day (an annual event for undergraduates at USC, all years, all disciplines) showcases students’ scholarly pursuits in and out of the classroom. Students present their experiences or findings from:
- research/scholarly projects,
- study abroad,
- internships and co-ops,
- leadership activities,
- service-learning and community service, and
- national fellowship competitions.
Students have the opportunity to make poster, oral, creative, or artistic presentations as well as visual art displays. This includes theatrical, musical, or creative writing presentations.
What is an appropriate project or activity to present at Discovery Day? Any activity or experience that enhanced your academic, professional, and/or scholarly pursuits that you would like to share with others may be appropriate for presentation. The project or activity does not have to be finished to participate in Discovery Day but it must be farther along than “this is what I plan to do” or “where I’m going” – you must be able to discuss tentative conclusions or how the project or activity has made (or is making) an impact. There is no time limit on when you can present an experience. Activities completed in previous academic years are eligible to be presented at any Discovery Day, up until the academic year in which you graduate. Summer and December graduates are eligible to participate in the following Spring’s Discovery Day.
How do I participate? You must register by submitting an USC faculty/staff reviewed abstract or summary describing your project/activity/experience by 5pm the Friday before Spring Break. Check out the Guidebook for details (below).
Discovery Day: April 26, 2013
