The South Carolina Poetry Initiative For the Love of Art summer camp series is a program that seeks to create a space during the summer months, or school breaks, or during a weekend that will afford children and teens the opportunity to experience the power of poetic expression through their interaction with a number of other art forms. The camp encourages participants to think of themselves, and for themselves, as young hip and upcoming bards who feel empowered by the art of self expression. The camp includes hands-on workshops blending eye, story, body language, music, theatre, and visual art for the means of creating an eclectic collection of poems and art.
