Carolina Nexus
The COCES has just completed facilitating a new, annual initiative that provided an opportunity for a cohort of recently-recruited faculty, staff, administrators, and students to become familiar with the social, educational, economic, health-related, and cultural aspects of the State.
The inaugural Carolina Nexus Bus Tour took place between May 14th and May 18th with stops at a number of sites in the Midlands, Upstate, Low Country, and the Pee Dee. Aside from the opportunity for participants to increase their awareness of the challenges and opportunities that are evident in the State, personal relationships were formed that will likely lead to future interdisciplinary community engagement and service initiatives.
