USC’s biomedical research encompasses such diverse subjects as cancer, bioengineering, regenerative medicine, cardiovascular research, neuroscience, diabetes prevention, nutrition, physical activity, obesity, geosocioeconomic health disparity issues, geriatrics, HIV, biohealth preparedness and bioterrorism issues, family and community violence, and adolescent pregnancy. A function of both geography and demographics, USC’s biomedical research explores a variety of human health-related focus areas to promote improvement in the quality of life.
