Mission Statement: Welcome

The Research and Economic Development plays a role in strategizing the research infrastructure of the University in order to help build the institution's existing research base by enhancing faculty scholarship and increasing external grant support across all university disciplines; providing a focused approach to increasing the excellence and synergy of research, learning and outreach in the health-science colleges; and increasing USC's participation in the economic development of the state through active assistance to public and private partners and support for the development of the new research campus.
