Make a difference in children's lives
Our online Elementary Education program prepares you for a rewarding career teaching children in grades 2 through 6.
Through this online learning experience, you'll learn how to engage children in inquiry, facilitate learning, develop curriculum and collect, analyze and interpret student data to inform instruction.
The Elementary Education program is committed to providing you a diverse range of school-based experiences throughout the program. Innovative courses taught by College of Education faculty bring world-class expertise and knowledge to students.
After successful completion of all degree and certification requirements, and with a positive recommendation from the faculty, students will be recommended for teacher certification in Elementary Education.
All teacher preparation programs in the College of Education are fully accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
Focus on fieldwork
You will connect theory with real-world experiences in schools through a wide range of practicum and internships.
These experiences can be an important asset to your overall educational experience. They often help confirm career interests, give you hands-on experience in a professional setting, help build your resumé, reinforce what you've learned in class and lead to full-time employment.
