Rules of Classroom Conduct

• Cell phones and pagers must be turned off during class. Do not disrupt your fellow classmates with cell phone calls.
• Smoking is not permitted in the classroom.
• Class attendance is expected of all students. Coming to class late or leaving early does not give the full benefit of the instruction and often disturbs other students. Faculty may set attendance policies and penalize students who arrive late or leave early.
• Only enrolled students may attend the class. Please do not bring a friend or family member. Persons wishing to “audit” the course are required to pay tuition.
• Disruptions like loud talking, making remarks about the instructor’s presentation, or excessive movement around the classroom are inconsiderate and are not allowed. The microphones are sensitive and can pick up minor noises. Students who disrupt class may face action from the instructor or the University.
• Food and drinks are allowed in the classrooms only if permitted by the host facility.
• The telephone in the classroom is for instruction-related use only.
• Technical problems should be reported to USC using the telephone in the classroom or by calling toll free, 800-768-9651.
