Instructions for Configuring Entourage as a Secure WebDAV Client                 PRINTER FRIENDLY

For the following instructions, we will use a fictitious person with the following parameters. You, of course, will substitute your specific information.

Full Name:  Ned Nash
Ned’s e-mail address is: nedn@mailbox.sc.edu
Ned’s network username is: NEDN
Ned’s Exchange server at USC is: https://web.mail.sc.edu
Ned’s Domain is DS.SC.EDU
Ned’s LDAP server DS.SC.ED

  1. Open Entourage then select Tools then Accounts.
  2. Select New Mail Account 
  3. Select My account is on an Exchange server click Configure Manually to continue (Figure 1).

  4. For the following account settings refer to (Figure 2).
  5. Enter a name for the mail profile in the Account Name field.
  6. Enter your name in the Name field.
  7. Enter the email address for the account being setup in the Email field.
  8. Enter your Username for the Account ID field.
  9. Enter ds.sc.edu for the Domain.
  10. Enter https://web.mail.sc.edu for the Exchange server.
  11. Select the This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL) checkbox.
  12. Select Advanced tab and set the LDAP server to DS.SC.EDU(Figure 3).
  13. Select this server requires me to log on.
  14. Select Ok and authenticate with your network username and password to finish.
