Exchange 2003
Previous Information & Documentation
Prior to the upgrade to Microsoft Exchange 2010, the University was using Exchange 2003. Documentation was created to assist faculty and staff with their email, mobile device and spam configuration. Below are links to Exchange 2003 documentation.
- Configuring Conference Rooms with Outlook: If you are the owner of a conference room profile, you can customize the way the room is scheduled and used. These instructions will help with that configuration.
- Configuring Entourage IMAP: These instructions will allow you to use the Entourage application on your desktop to access your e-mail.
- Configuring Entourage Secure WebDav: This is the fully-featured Entourage that will allow for managing calendar, tasks and contacts.
- Configuring Mac Mail: These instructions will allow you to use Apple Mac Mail 3.6 and Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.7 with University email.
- Configuring Outlook 2003 Secure IMAP: These instructions will allow you to use the Microsoft outlook application on your desktop to access your e-mail through IMAP.
- Configuring Outlook 2007 Secure IMAP: These instructions will allow you to use the Microsoft outlook application on your desktop to access your e-mail through IMAP.
- Configuring Outlook 2003 RPC/HTTPS: These instructions will allow you to use the Microsoft Outlook 2003 application on your desktop to access your e-mail. These are the recommended instructions for students, faculty and staff who wish to use the Outlook 2003 application on their desktop.
- Configuring Outlook 2007 RPC/HTTPS: These instructions will allow you to use the Microsoft Outlook 2007 application on your desktop to access your e-mail. These are the recommended instructions for students, faculty and staff who wish to use the Outlook 2007 application on their desktop.

- Instructions for forwarding e-mail to a different address: These instructions will show you how to forward your University E-mail to a different e-mail address, such as a Yahoo, Hotmail or Gmail account.
- iPhone/iPod Touch Configuration: Please use these instructions for iPhone devices to setup your University E-mail. If you are using an iPod Touch, you can also use these directions once you have access the wireless network.

- Validating Outlook 2007: For SLA departments and colleges that get MS Office 2007, including Outlook 2007, installed remotely to their workstations, a validation process is needed to verify the installation was complete. These are instructions on how to do this. (Requires Adobe Reader)
- Windows Mobile Device (PDA) Configuration: Windows Mobile Device PDAs work directly with Exchange through Activesync. These instructions will help faculty, staff, and students configure their Windows Mobile Device PDAs. UTS also has a Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) that supports Blackberry devices. BES services are only available for faculty and staff. UTS no longer supports Palm OS devices.
