Welcome to the Gamecock family! You are entering the University of South Carolina at a very exciting time. Our campus is expanding with the opening of several new facilities in Innovista, an innovation district highlighting research initiatives and a vibrant urban lifestyle. Our athletics programs are in the middle of a massive facilities upgrade. You and your fellow classmates have brought in the most competitive group of freshmen Carolina has ever seen. It truly is a great time to be a Gamecock.

Surely you are excited about your upcoming transition. As a May 2007 Carolina graduate, I am excited for you. Though your excitement may be through the roof, you more than likely are at least a little nervous about starting this new chapter in your life. Well, the USC Visitor Center and the Carolina community are here to help.

This website was developed with you in mind. Use it as your guide to our beautiful campus, the city of Columbia, and the move-in process. Move-in day is Saturday, August 18th. Convocation will be held the following day at 4:00 at the Carolina Coliseum. After that, take part in as many Welcome Week activities as you can. We have nearly 350 student organizations, so the student life possibilities are endless. Welcome Week is your invitation to each of these organizations.
