Assess Your Site
Before you start thinking about the look of your new site, you should spend some time assessing your current site and its content. Consider the following:
Site goals--What does your department/college/unit want to accomplish with its Web presence? Is it in line with your organization's mission as well as the University's mission?
Primary audiences--Who visits the site? Can these visitors be broken down into a small number of core groups? How can you best serve each group?
Scope of redesign--How vast should a redesign effort be for your site? How deep into the hierarchy should you go? Should you redesign in stages?
