Course Description
An examination of the dynamics of substance abuse and addictions including classification of drugs, models of addiction, etiology, assessment and diagnosis and evidence-based treatment practices. Family dynamics, special populations (e.g., women, African Americans, Military), and process addictions (e.g., gambling, sexual addiction, eating disorders) are also covered.GC: 11/27/2023.
