WHAT IS GARP?

Designed to compliment the graduate program in Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA), the Graduate Assistant Recruitment Program (GARP) at the University of South Carolina is a collaborative effort among the University's Division of Student Affairs, College of Education/Department of Educational Leadership and Policies, the USC Career Center.  Our unique program provides the opportunity for prospective HESA graduate students to:

·         Investigate and interview for assistantship positions in a placement-type setting

·         Learn about the graduate program in Higher Education and Student Affairs

·         Interact with other graduate assistants and candidates from around the nation

·         Meet the College of Education faculty

·         Visit and tour the University of South Carolina campus
