Frenché Brewer has been ruffling feathers her entire educational career: first at Sumter High School, where the school mascot is a Gamecock, and again as a Carolina Gamecock when she enrolled at the University of South Carolina.
She graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism in 1979 and pursued her dream of having a career in radio and television news in Georgia, Tennessee and Texas.
Following an award-winning 20-year career, Frenché flew back to the “coop” (a.k.a. USC) and landed in the Media Relations office as broadcast coordinator, producing and anchoring segments for ETV Radio and television stories that air during football season on Pay-Per-View. She also writes features and press releases promoting the arts and the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management.
Frenché says she has the best of both worlds without the grueling 24-hour schedule in television news.
