Integrative Learning Initiative
Integrative learning involves a blending of within-the classroom activities with intentionally selected beyond-the-classroom experiences. It occurs when students reflect on the connections between their experiences and apply their knowledge in new contexts. Our Integrative Learning Initiative supports faculty that are interested in approaches that help students make mental connections across experiences, including global learning, leadership, research, service learning, and work-based learning. In collaboration with other university offices, like USC Connect, we offer workshops and grant programs designed to help faculty and staff maximize the benefit of integrative learning opportunities for students.
