Faculty, teaching assistants, staff and administrators at the University of South Carolina celebrated teaching at the inaugural Oktoberbest conference on October 1, 2010. The day included three concurrent sessions with 21 presentations focused on best practices and innovations in teaching and learning in USC classrooms, online programs, and more. Conference attendees gathered at midday for lunch and a keynote lecture by Gardner Campbell, Director of the Academy for Teaching and Learning at Baylor University. The day concluded with a reception to honor the presenters and attendees.
