Tobacco-free campus forum Feb. 18

University of South Carolina students, faculty and staff are invited to an upcoming town-hall forum to learn more, share suggestions and ask questions about a potential expansion of the university’s tobacco-free policy. Student Government and Healthy Carolina will host the meeting, set for 5 – 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18 in the Russell House ballroom.

University of South Carolina considering completely tobacco-free campus

The University of South Carolina has assembled a task force to study the university’s tobacco-free policy and determine whether it should be revised to cover the entire campus. The group, composed of students, faculty and staff, will examine the effects of becoming a completely tobacco-free campus, consider proposals for implementation and enforcement and ensure that ample tobacco-cessation resources are available.
