You may not request materials, renewals, or interlibrary loans through these services. The following USC Library Departments can assist you:  Circulation Department  |  Interlibrary Loan


  • "Ask a Librarian" reference services are available to anyone. However, in responding to questions, first priority will be given to USC students, faculty and staff.
  • When submitting questions via e-mail, you may expect a reply within 24 hours during the week. Librarians will check the e-mail account daily, Monday through Friday, excluding University holidays.
  • Response time is always related to the complexity of the question; in some cases we may ask for more information or question clarification.
  • Complex questions and questions involving extensive research are beyond the scope of these services. If your question requires more in-depth research please come to the library where we can assist you.
