Thomas Cooper Society

The Thomas Cooper Society is a volunteer support organization for the Thomas Cooper Library, encouraging community interest in the Library and promoting a fuller understanding of its purpose, programs, and potential. Opportunities for cultural enrichment are offered through a stimulating series of lectures, exhibitions, and special events. Through its generosity, the Society fosters gifts, endowments, and memorials to the Thomas Cooper Library, enabling the Library to acquire distinctive and valuable materials for students and other scholars.

South Caroliniana Library

University South Caroliniana Society

The University South Caroliniana Society is a private, non-profit patron organization of the South Caroliniana Library. The Society exists to meet the following diverse goals:

1. to acquire South Carolina-related research materials of all kinds and from all periods,
2. to promote the preservation, appreciation, and use of these materials, and
3. to support collateral projects

Guardian Society

Members of the Carolina Guardian Society share a commitment to the future of the University, demonstrating their dedication and support by including the University in their estate plans.

Horseshoe Society

The Horseshoe Society was established in 1998 to pay tribute to the heritage of the University by honoring those alumni, donors, and special University supporters who have made gifts of $100,000 or more.
