The Lou and Beth Holtz Library Endowment for Undergraduate Resources

"USC's Thomas Cooper Library is one of the nation's finest research libraries. I have always appreciated being associated with winners." - Lou Holtz
Former Gamecock Head Football Coach Lou Holtz and his wife Beth have established an endowment at the University's Thomas Cooper Library to provide for the addition of library materials and resources for undergraduate students. Coach Holtz has always believed in the importance of academics in the lives and careers of his players. He underscores this belief with his support of the University Libraries.
One of the most successful college football coaches in the history of the game, Lou Holtz consistently developed student athletes who do well in the classroom and, as a result, enjoyed high rates of graduation. His influence has had a profoundly positive impact on the lives of his players, both personally and academically.

Now, in supporting the University Libraries with their endowment, Lou and Beth Holtz continue to touch the lives of all students at the University of South Carolina, as well as benefit the faculty and community researchers who use the library every day. A gift to the Lou and Beth Holtz Endowment for Undergraduate Resources supports the belief that academics and athletics are a winning team.
