Work Experience
August 1993 to present: Associate Conservator, Richmond Conservation Studio, Richmond, Virginia. Supervisor, L. Cleo Mullins. Duties include meeting with clients, examining paintings, proposing treatments, documentation of projects, (both written and photographic) and treating paintings. Some decorative objects such as marble and painted wooden objects are treated also. Additional duties include supervising and training technicians and interns, preparing for and presenting talks and workshops, and traveling to on-site projects to examine and propose treatments.
June 1993: Intern, North Carolina Museum of Art. Supervisor, David Findley. Duties included examining paintings, proposing treatments, and remedial treatment on selected paintings.
June 1992-June 1993: Intern, Richmond Conservation Studio, Richmond, Virginia. Supervisor, L. Cleo Mullins. Duties included examining and treating paintings, supervising and training technicians.
February 1985-1990: Inpainter for Richmond Conservation Studio, Richmond, Virginia. Supervisor, L. Cleo Mullins. Duties included filling and inpainting paintings and decorative objects, supervising and training technicians, and assisting the Conservator as needed.
