You have several options for identifying and reading University of South Carolina doctoral dissertations, master’s theses, and Honor’s College theses.

Dissertations and Theses in the Libraries  

Search the library catalog 

Change the sorting if you would rather see the list arranged by most recent year first or by author. Tip: Names of colleges and departments change. Just type in the first letter of the likely name, but be sure to do this as a subject search.

The circulating copy of a USC thesis or dissertation is kept at Thomas Cooper Library, shelved by its call number. The historical copy is housed at the Library Annex and must be requested through the Published Materials Division of the South Caroliniana Library. The historical copy does not circulate beyond the Reading Room of South Caroliniana Library.

Search Dissertations and Theses available from the University Libraries’ Indexes/Electronic Resources list. PDF copies of many dissertations from the University of South Carolina and other institutions in North America may be found.
