CHECKING OUT COURSE RESERVE MATERIALS
A valid USC ID card or driver’s license must be presented to
use course reserve materials. Students may check out two (2)
reserve items or one (1) reserve film at any given time. The
loan periods for items vary; instructor
copies of materials and
photocopied articles
in course reserve packets may not
be taken from
the building
by students. Reserve films cannot leave the
library and must be viewed in our
Film Viewing Room on Level 3.
Exceptions may be made
only by the
Reserves
Supervisor.
RENEWALS AND HOLDS We do
not, as a rule, renew reserve items. After you return an
item, there is a waiting period equal to the loan period of
the item in question before you may check out the
item again. This ensures a fair turnover period to give everyone in a
class a chance to check out reserve items. We also do not
place holds or recalls on reserve materials. We operate on a first come,
first served basis.
RETURNING COURSE RESERVE MATERIALS All
reserve items must be returned to the Reserve Desk at the main
Circulation counter.
Please do not place reserve items in bookdrops.
Remote bookdrops are emptied infrequently
and not emptied in inclement weather. Reserve material is
time-sensitive and must be returned on time or you will incur
steep fines.
DISABLED STUDENTS We are always happy to make
reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities.
Please contact the
Circulation Department.
